Sarah Bowman started playing flyball in 2011. She and a friend heard about a new dog sport in which Border Collies seemed to excel. They signed up for a class, and things took off. Sarah started playing the game with Riley, but after a year or two of learning the pattern and running part-time, it was clear Riley was having a hard time picking up the full pattern. Right around that time, Sarah had been searching for a blue merle Border Collie to join her pack. Gimme showed up, and started her puppy training with NRR, but soon thereafter, Sarah moved to CA. Riley and Sarah ran Flyball in CA with another team but while they certainly enjoyed their time in CA, NRR is thrilled that they decided to return to the east coast and rejoin the team. Gimme learned the game with Sarah and they took off together. Sarah decided that although Riley loved Flyball her health was more important so she pulled Riley from the sport due to arthritis. Sarah and Gimme worked out a few kinks recently in the game and now they are one of our fastest members. Outside of flyball, Sarah enjoys going to the beach, working with children, hanging out with friends and family and spending time with her pups.
