Cindy Lubin has been playing flyball since 2009. Her ball obsessed lab, Winnie, needed a job to do. Playing a high-drive game of fetch sounded like the right thing. Cindy tried to teach Winnie to do a four footed box turn for years, but those labs can be stubborn when they want to be. That's okay, they still go out there and have a great time. In the run back area you have to watch out, as Winnie tries to swing her ball tug as hard as possible and has hit Cindy on multiple occasions. Flying tennis balls have happened too. Cindy, and her husband Brian, met at Virginia Tech. After living in various places in the mid-Atlantic (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Chapel Hill, NC and Baltimore), they settled back in Blacksburg about 10 years ago. Brian was secretly relieved to be 'banned' from flyball during their first tournament when Winnie left the racing lane to go see him.  He stops by briefly at local dog sport events to see how 'the girls' are doing, however. Cindy is known for her amazing crock-pot dips, so you can certainly be jealous when you see us digging in over in our crating area. Outside of flyball, Cindy enjoys playing agility, VT sports/tailgating and hiking.
