CJ Fithian relocated to North Carolina from sunny California in 2017 and brought her Jam-Min Aussie gang to New River Rapids to play!  After CJ's Standard Aussie, Elvis, died in 2005, she began researching to find another dog just as wonderful as the Australian Shepherd, but smaller. In one of her many late night web searches, CJ stumbled across the Miniature Australian Shepherd, and the rest is history! Sydney was the first Jam-Min’ Aussie to join the Fithian household. Like Lay’s potato chips, one was not enough!

CJ continually strives to improve her knowledge of dog training and to improve her bonds with her dogs...and to have lots of fun with them. She completed her dog trainer certification from Animal Behavior College in 2007, and is currently an Associate Trick Dog Instructor, working towards her certification with Do More With Your Dog with Kyra Sundance. She attended the Karen Pryor ClickerExpo in 2008. She has also attended numerous seminars and camps, including Disc Dog camps, Trick Dog seminars, Dock Diving seminars, and Flyball seminars. CJ would also like to save money to attend the Karen Pryor Academy one day.
